The firm was originally founded in 1835 in Glasgow. Among clients that it worked for was the architect and designer Charles Rennie Mackintosh. Making the furniture for his various clients notably Miss Cranston of the Willow Tea Rooms in Glasgow. Examples can be seen in the Victorian and Albert Museum London.
The Auction Rooms in Lots Road opened in 1997. Norman Ashford, Auctioneer and Valuer came to London in 1976 and was trained by leading Fine Art Auctioneers in Bond Street as a specialist in various departments.
Sales are held weekly including jewellery, silver, clocks, watches, ceramics, antique furniture, paintings, works of art, rugs and carpets. We pride ourselves on providing the best service possible in knowledge. Our location in the heart of Chelsea attracts both a local and an international clientele.
